Curly Hair Product Reviews

I’m here to give you my reviews on more curly hair products that I have recently used from conditioner all the way to hair masks. I intend to give you some words of advice that could potentially help you choose your products. I know I have said this before, but what works for me might not work for you so my advice to you would be to do trail runs on products so you know what products work for your curl type.

My curl type is 3B on top and 3C underneath. My curls are usually filled with hydration, but occasionally they will start to get dry which is when a hair mask is needed. Some of my curls do clump and when they do, I separate them to give my hair some volume. To add, depending which products I’ve tested my scalp does become a little irritated. Therefore, I’ll be reviewing based upon my hair’s personality.

The first product I am going to be talking about is the Not Your Mother’s Tahitian Gardenia Flower & Mango Butter curl defining shampoo and conditioner as well as the detangler. Not Your Mother’s Naturals collection is 98% all natural, which is identified as clean hair products. These products do not leave your hair heavy or any extra residue. In fact, when you hop out the shower you can see and instant difference. Using the Tahitian shampoo and conditioner made my hair shiny. Not only that but the scent of these products varies, and I must admit they smell extraordinary delicious. Curl defining also acts as a hydrator, it locks in the moisture and the results are amazing!

Locking in my curl definition I use Eva NYC Gotta Bounce Curl Defining Cream. It locks in the moisture and reduces frizz which I love. This has the best hold for ALL curl types not to mention the smell is so tropical. The best part of this product is that it is CGM (Curly Girl Method) friendly!!! When applying a little goes a long way, another reason why I adore this product because it does what it says it does and works with just a little. So far, I am liking what this brand has to offer since it is for all curl types.

Up next I need to give some credit to all the small business and this one in particularly all the way from Texas, USA it’s Hair Lemon Aid- for dry hair. USA made and all natural. It helps with dry scalp, itching, dandruff and is a good curly hair refresher. This product smells great and doesn’t contain any juice of lemons so there isn’t any fear of changing hair color. I’ve used this and I love how it hydrates my curls just as a refresher. If I get any itch from day 4 hair, I simply spritz some on my scalp, then the itch goes away. Who doesn’t love lemons?!

I recently tried The Smooth Move Moisture Melt Hair Mask by Cake and I had really high hopes about this product, but it didn’t necessarily ruin my hair it just wasn’t giving me enough moisture.  I used this mask in the shower, it smells like fall which I loved! Even rinsing it out I felt how soft my hair way, but after styling my hair was still a bit dry at the top. Now this doesn’t mean it’s a bad product, I would still give it a try just because it didn’t work for me it may work for you. Nothing negative to say about this product it just wasn’t a match for my hair.
