8 Types of Wellness
8 Types of Wellness
Most of everyone is in need to “feel
better” or “do better” but how can you identify which type of help you need to
seek out for yourself? We might need motivation for a lack of urge to go to
work or perhaps the desire to save some money, but your mind does not let you.
It is all within you and when I explain to you the 8 types of wellness and how
you can overcome them little by little then you will be on your way to success!
1. Emotional Wellness: Stress, negative outlook and low
self-esteem are all an indication of emotional wellness. When we are stressed
out, we seem to get upset with others who do not necessarily deserve it, having
a negative perspective on life or about yourself can all be changed by doing
and thinking positive. When you are
stressed simply talk about it or write about it to let go of the emotion.
Instead of doubting yourself believe in yourself, this is what we call do less,
do more.
2. Physical Wellness: Feeling sluggish, not having the
motivation to get up and get things done are all indicators of physical
wellness. When you are feeling this way you can stretch it out, do some
physical activity such as a brisk walk, and of course the most common one would
be to get the proper nutrition.
3. Social Wellness: Socializing is just that, surrounding
yourself with good people, good energies, and of course a good family support
system. The obvious would be if you have negative people in your life to
separate yourself from them and if it is not possible just separate yourself
from them.
4. Spiritual Wellness: Finding yourself is the most
important thing. Whether your spiritual wellness if imbalance or not it is
still good to practice yoga, meditation, self-discovery and/or writing into a
journal. If you are into crystals and gemstones this will also be great to add
into your meditations or yoga. Find out what works for you the best and work
with it.
5. Intellectual Wellness: Feeling like you do not have anything
to do? Pick up a new hobby! New hobbies such as: painting, traveling, writing,
and even listening to your favorite podcast/radio station.
6. Financial Wellness: Overwhelmed with how much debt you
are in and stressed about your car payments, start a money chart or table to
help you financially stabled. Pay on-time, paying your credit cards on-time or
early can help your credit, make sure to manage your money correctly and my most
favorite is to ALWAYS have a budget.
7. Occupational Wellness: The work environment is a good way to
start wellness, sometimes we cannot escape it no matter where you work. However,
it is good to start somewhere and making sure your workspace has nothing but
good energy, even communicating with your co-workers in a politely manner acts
as wellness. You want to work in a stress-free workplace but let us all be honest
and say we cannot escape it so make the best of it!
8. Environmental Wellness: There is no denying that most of the
human population goes through rough patches, stress and whatever else they have
got going in their daily lives that we do not know about. It is important to
take some time for yourself to enjoy nature. Enjoying a walk, hike, and run are
all signs of environmental wellness. Sitting on a park bench and sitting out on
a patio can even help. Plants and natural light play a huge role. Plants
believe it or not can help with your environment stay clean and positive.
